That's easy enough to ask but would YOU really want to see your mom or a younger sister going topless, along with your grandmom?
You're stretching matters a little. Perhaps because you have nothing better to ask?
It's called social conventions. I, personally, do not think that women should go topless anymore than seeing them with their buttocks exposed while wearing those thongs... I wonder what THAT looks like when they take them off, the part that goes between the "cheeks"...?
Are you just trying to get a rise out of people? Ask your parents, they raised you, maybe they agree with you...? I wouldn't want MY daughter wearing anything like a thong or go topless.(she is married and has a very pretty shape according to all that have seen her)(and her husband is a 6' 3" or 6' 4" police officer).

quite honestly some of the men should be wearing a full costume,i go swimming regularly,you see all shapes and sizes.i can understand why ,especially the larger fuller figured women wear a fuul costume,plus the fact if every women didn`t wear their top half you would have all the local perverts steaming up the windows.

Women need support for their breasts. Not everyone looks good exposing so much of themselves. Also, as one of the answers point out, it is social convention. Even if you personally don't mind women walking around half naked, you have to show respect to those who object the idea. It is mutual acceptance.

Nowadays, more women wear bikinis and some of these bikinis have less cloth than a pair of trunks.

No, it’s not the matter of skin. It’s actually a matter of sexual parts. Man got only one sexual part, that’s why he covers only that portion. While woman got three, lower, upper and back so she has to cover all her parts.
P.S. we don’t have any objection if female wants to wear only trunks.

and its to make things nicer about fat people
nothing personal but i hate big bellies and most fat people i see swimming dont wear bikinis.
guys haev to showoff how muscly they are
anyway when its hot and sunny lots of guys have o tops
women just wer skimpy ones
same for swimming

What's wrong with nakedness, nothing,its only a problem when you get sick minded idiots,who exploit it, its a beautiful thing and natural,gives me a calm and relaxing feeling and gives your skin time to breath.
