While there is no reason to believe that such a "peace" could ever happen , withdrawing from those conflicts would be abandoning the very people we are currently helping. The U.S. already has a less than stellar reputation in many areas of the world due to past military support of questionable regimes/rebels/ insurgents, etc..I personally believe that the U.S. needs to get out of both areas but cannot in good conscience, do so until the local governments in both countries are able to maintain a stable enviroment to allow for a safe withdrawal of our troops. Whether a lasting peace in those areas could happen, probably not , but there is no need for our children to be in the middle. Train and teach, then get out. A simple foreign policy.

Al Quaeda is also demanding that all American's convert to Islam or be destoryed - and that isn't going to happen. Al Quaeda will only be sastisfied when the US is destroyed as a nation. So the answer to your question is no.

America is the strongest nation in the world - remember it.

So, what they think is possible,
I think better other people control themself for safety.
And do't play with America.
Terrorist can't do anything as they failed, so many times...
better stop terrorist activities... go for a better deal and try to bring peace to this world if possible instead of fighting or trying to simply ask George Bush to convert like a child?
Now - you know that people like Al-quaeda do small attacks and country like Americal start to fight against it...like they did in Afghanistan and Iraq.
My suggestion better Al-quaeda stop such activities in the Middle East, India and rest of the World !! Try to bring peace amoung people, as nobody want to die for their religion...people do't have money for their daily bread !

infant, whilst allied forces moved into any conflicts without the UN. something extra ordinary had occurred which defined why they overide the UN. They weren't accessible at their very own whims and fancy. They have been there for a objective which you do no longer see with what had long previous incorrect accessible on planet earth. The conflict in Iraq replaced into created by the toddlers such as you spreading ghost memories in playng computer video games with your Freedom of speech. Now do you recognize an old saying " infants are to be seen and to no longer be heard " which would not replace with time yet continues to be in time on planet earth. Do you spot why enjoying computer video games with Freedom of speech is an extremely risky video games on your brothers and sisters with self loss of know-how with what went incorrect accessible on planet earth?

This would just embolden Al Queda and its partners. They would think that the US is just a paper tiger and we aren't. Besides who are they to demand anything. They are not a government the are just a bunch of bullies trying to make everyone do things their way. Until they are defeated the US and its allies must keep fighting. This is one battle we must win.

I think that the terrorists would follow our troops back here. I think it would make things a lot worse because they would say we are cowards. They already claim we have "lost" in
Iraq and Afghanistan. It would seem like Al Qaeda and Iran can push us around and chase our military away. I'd rather have the war over there.

Was there peace before the US entered Afghanistan.? Al Quadda will fight for Allah whether it be against US or others. Those whose creed is violence, will be spreading violence. The irony is that they perpetrate violence , in the name of a religion, whose name means PEACE.

Of course they are demanding that so they can take over the countries and rule the masses according to their sick, depraved religious trash - THAT'S THE KIND OF PEACE they talking about.

Unfortunately, no. Fundamentalist groups are trying a great deal to disprove of those who are not of the same faith as they have, ultimately leading to their "enemy`s" destruction.

But, centuries from now, this same group might just occupy one page in history books and their ideologies might be extinct....
