I need to replace my front seat. I'd prefer a seat with more support. It's a 1989 Caprice Classic Sedan. Thanks.

Try a seat from a full size rear wheel drive Buick, Pontiac, or Oldsmobile from about the same year. They are all based on the same body and the seat will be a bolt in. Check with some local junk yards/auto recyclers to see and try sitting in some seats. You can probably find a matching color for your interior.

I have the same car. Unfortunately, you would have to get an updated seat from a newer model. Because most newer cars are front wheel drive, they will not fit in your car because of the floor hump. Even if you get the seat reupholstered, it will still not have much support. The only other way is get bucket seats, and drill new holes in the floor. The seats will not match, but it may be a start.

The front seat is bolted to the floor. You can have an upholstry shop modify it for more support for less than you will pay for a new one.
