In highschool. I was too busy fixing my problems among my friends and I linger on those problems too long and lived with them. I couldn't change my friends for being a desperate person or being a pathatlogical liar or loud or whatever... sometimes we were just miserable together because we get a lot of jealousy on being that better friend. it was so high school- how everyone aspires to be this and that... it was no longer exciting...
remedy: too be yourself. think of the good side. think of happy thoughts... even a baby can do that... and if you have time, give yourself a break. have a blast! do the things that makes you happy...

Actually I have. Well actually different things make me happy now rather than what use to. My happiness now is also expressed differently that it use to be so did I forget how to be ''happy'' or just went through a change? I dont know. Ever since I lost my child's father, I havent been able to laugh like I use to...he passed in 2003...everytime I laugh I think in my head about how its a ''fake'' laugh and it isnt coming from my heart....I dont know what's wrong with me. Sometimes I tell myself its just part of growing up, and that its normal for ''less'' things to be funny but then I see others ''happy'' and ''laughing' with all they've got. What to do when it happens, think happy thoughts? Sorry as much as I wish I could, I cant tell you how to fix it :(

You can also try getting out of the house, go to the mall, beach, ect. Try to think of things that you would like to happen in your life and how you will like your life to be. I recommend this self help book "The Wisdom of Florence Scovel Shinn" which is a good book about positive affirmational prayer, I have tried the methods and my life although is not perfect it is much better than it was 7 years ago. Good luck and God bless.

When i get sad and it seems like nothing can help me I go out and buy something really nice for myself and it makes me feel better.
But if this doesnt work for you then I would suggest you to go out with your friends and let your mind let go of all the negitive thoughts.

Yes. You have many options; therapy, medication, self-help books, support of friends, prayer. I hope you find a solution that works for you. It's no fun to be depressed.
