Certainly. Populist measures works wonders in India. By ensuring that price of cooking gas do not increase they have made a kill. It is a different matter that all govt. oil companies have gone into losses. As long as they are in power, where the counttry heads is immaterial. BJP made a mistake by freeing petro products prices and investing the money in building a 4 lane highway network across India. For congress: they will rule as long as there is poverty and underdevelopment.

There case is hopeless as with all the other ruling parties in India .
I did forget that Bengal is an exception .
