When I was 17 I dated a 22 yr old and at the time I didn't realize what I see now as an adult. That grown men who date teenagers are actually losers who have no game with women their own age and so they go for younger girls. You will also see this as well, and if your lucky you'll fall out of love before you make the mistake of marriage or have a child with this person. Either way though just be careful and have a nice day.

Listen, I know you've heard this a thousand times before, I'm sure, but wait. At least until you're 18 and not living at home to have a mature relationship. You want an older man, so you have to show him that you are a mature woman. And maybe by that time, your feelings will fizzle away, and if not, then you can be free to pursue whatever you want. If things start going well, then wait until your at least 21 to get married, when you've been out to the bars a few times. It's a whole new lifestyle and all new guys that you wouldn't believe. I got married when I was 19, and even though I never regretted it, and we're getting a divorce that has nothing to do with me cheating or having regrets, I seen a lot of females who did that and regretted their marriage and hated their partners and themselves for marrying too young.

Besides the legal issues, someone with that age gap bothering with someone 8 years younger must be mentally or emotionally stunted somehow. Between 17 and 25 there is plenty of life to live and learn. The best thing would be to hold off on that relationship. Keep your options open!

Does he feel the same way? How do you know that what you feel is really love and not infatuation? Maybe you only have a big crush on him.
If he does... let him wait till your at your right age. And if he says he'll wait for you, you're lucky... your love one really loves you. ^_^
If he doesn't... just keep it to yourself so that you won't get hurt. Trust me!!!

you are not in love; you are infatuated with him.
ignore him. leave him be. don't talk to him. don't mess with him. for god's sake dont have sex with him! it will only lead to trouble.
throw yourself into sports, academics, or a hobby. focus on your friends and family. start dating boys you're own age.
