Before the Internet if someone had something that was offered up by a legitimate concern with copyright or corporate law (articles of incorporation) and that infringement was by someone trying to make a living, most of the time that infringement was ignored.

For example, Tom and Jerry's run a corporate entity and if someone in small town America whose first names were Tom and Jerry, no body really sued or complained.

However, now with the Internet, people who infringe upon a corporate entity, wrongfully, can advertise over the Internet with people thinking its the name of the corporate concern when it's not. The laws of copyright and corporations are enforced more vigorously nowadays because of Internet advertisement...

To answer you question...logo's and pics may be copy written. It is best to check with an attorney.

This is from eBay's help section: Policy overview eBay members are not allowed to use images—including photos and other pictures—or text they didn't create themselves. Exceptions to this policy would be if they are authorized to do so by the owner, its agent, or the law. I have added a link to their policy.

if da pic is borrowed, da source is mentioned.

if da newspaper itself owns da pic, it doesnt mention anything quite often.
