Take him out for a really nice meal--one that you normally wouldn't want to spend the money one. Then afterwards find a jacuzzi that just the two of you can be in together. After you are done there, head to a bed with satin sheets on it. After you let him do to you whatever he wants hold him as falls asleep. The combination of great food, a hot jacuzzi, and wild sex is a perfect "romantic idea" for your husband.

Why not talk to your husband about this. Tell him you want to do something romantic with him.
I know you want to surprise him but I have found that if you both plan and work on this together it will be so much more enjoyable for you both.
You husband will be over joyed you want to do this and he will get twice as excited as so will you planning it together. The fireworks will be going off for sure when you both are on the same path.

I took my ex out for dinner on our anniversary, when I got home did not let him in the room for a while. I lit candles, all around the room and sprinkled rose petals from the door , and all over the bed , covers drawn. He was speechless and it was beautiful and romantic.

Do something with him you would normally never be interested in. My girlfriend started watching football with me. Even though she reads a book most of the time, it's such a great attempt at romantacism that I am putty in her hands later.
