I'm gonna have to say the GameCube is definitely the best GameCube ever made. Ever.
If you're asking about games, I'll vote for Soul Calibur II (I thought it was best on this system because of Link's Fairy Sword--there's nothing better than beating the s**t out of your roommate with a pink sword) and all the Mario Sports games (although I haven't tried the basketball one yet).
