the same as the cause for any other form of cancer. your bodies cells duplicate too fast causing 'errors'. when this happens the DNA in the cells doesn't separate properly and therefore, genetically, the cells don't match but keep on forming. they clump together in a ball or tumour which is the cancerous growth.
cancer is a fault developed in the body, there is nothing in particular that causes it but there are many known factors that are known to be detrimental to the body's reproductive process which includes the duplication of cells.

DHT - a metabolite of testosterone. DHT is an anabolic steroid.
When it binds to prostate gland, the gland grows (swollen).
Take saw palmetto and tofu daily. As these molecules are
similar in structure to that of DHT, they will bind to your prostate glands - thus displacing some DHT off the prostate gland.

im sure there is more than one cause, however if your prostate enlarges it means the cells are over productive and cancer is also a runaway cell production.
