My boss says that we can not get a raise because we do not have a degree in order to get a raise.

A "cleaning degree" don't think so.... so since I don't know your job. I will make an assumption you are the cleaning crew. There might be degrees in related fields but not one just in cleaning. I think he is using that as an excuse to avoid giving you a raise. Go look in the local college catalog and see what you can find. If you find nothing then ask him what kind of degree he would like for you to have to get the raise. Also ask about education benefits in the next breath since that seems to be a requirement to get a raise. The company should be paying some amount for you to improve yourself and get better educated so that you can do your job better.

There is no degree for cleaning. Your boss is using that as an excuse because he does not want to give you a raise.
