You have worth. You are having trouble recognizing it right now and antidepressants may help you climb out of the hole temporarily. I would advise that you use an antidepressant in conjunction with therapy. The antidepressant is not something that gets you "high" or creates thoughts that aren't you. Quite the contrary, it will help you tap into some of the inner resources that you've ignored.

NO, sorry there is no magic pill like that.
If you feel worthless then you have never sat down and looked at all the aspects of your life.
Just being here, you are of great value. You are a family member and someones friend. Two very valuable things.
You have to look at the positives even if they seem to be a routine thing they are of value.
If you feel the need to be important to others, then volunteer to help some where. The local YMCA, or help tutor kids in school.
But the one thing to always remember is that no one is worthless.
Even a brain dead vegetable could be useful as an organ donor and save other lives...

If you take what your doc prescribes for your symptoms, you'll prob. start feeling better. But to just take something to feel worth while, like to catch a buzz, that's only going to cause more problems. Probably an addicton on top of everything else . Not to mention that it will never fix your prob...only cover it up temporarily. When the medicine wears off, whatever's bothering you is still there.
I hope you start to feel better! You are worth more than something...you are priceless!!! You are the only person that is you. Someone may be 'like' you... but they aren't you!
Talk to a doctor about how you're feeling.
Good Luck!!!

Medication works most of the time. I take it. I don't like it though. It depends on whether you want to deal with the side effects.
If you don't want to take medication. Like most of the world will be doing soon. Then maybe you can get in touch with your problems, and try to fix them, and get throught it.

You can take medication to mask the symptoms and alleviate the depression but it can't tackle the underlying causes.

Antidepressants perhaps? Go see a psychiatrist (they can actually write you prescriptions whereas psychologists can't).
P.S. You are worthwhile.
