I mean in a relationship where trust seems to be the foundation, why if at all do you male/female lie about how many previous sexual partners you may have had? What fears do you have about telling the truth? Lets all be honest "none of your business" isn't what you would say to someone you love...so out with it! Also what emphasis do you think society places on women with less sexual partners aa opposed to more sexual partners?

I also found this very interesting...check it out sometime

No! I always tell my partners the truth no matter how many ladies want to take advantage of my poor simply male weakness's which I enjoy when the occasion arises which they seem to appreciate.

Unless its someone I think might be "the one." My answer is always 12. I've gotten around quite a bit, and anything over that is "scary" for the ladies. However, it gives you plenty of room to reference a few women in your past and accounts for your solid experience in the bedroom. I'm 32, so 12 = less than 1 woman/year and thats a good number for the females.

11 is also a good number, incase the one you're dating now is supersticious. Some don't like the fact that they're #13.

Well to be truthful, My partner and I haven't really discussed it. But if the conversation would ever come up I would be truthful to him. I would expect the same in return.
As for other relationships I have been in, yes it has come up and I would tell them how many. But it seemed the ones I have discussed it with had alot more partners in their lives than I did.

My husband knows. We have known one another since we where in our early teens. He was actually the first boy I ever kissed. So funny how so many years later we end up together, fate- Yup, I found my soul mate....
I don't know about what society emphasis-es, but I feel that women with fewer partners have more respect from their peers...

What you did in you're past is you're past, and there is really no reason that you should have to discuss it with you're current girlfriend if you do not want to ! And I would never ask a current girl friend about hers !! Nothing good would ever come out of it !!
