What is the OS? If it is XP, then it's pretty easy. Go to the Start menu and pick "Help and Support". When the help and support center appears, in the second column under "Pick a task" there is the "Undo changes to your computer with System Restore".... They will lead you by the nose to accomplish the task.

I never trusted this until some pretty ugly things happened during an installation. The customer support engineer had me do it and it worked perfectly. I recommend it. Good luck.

Assuming you have a Windows PC click on Start, All Programs, Acessories, System Tools and select System Restore. Select a date on the calendar if a previous restore point exists.

If you're using XP, use the system restore option found in the Control Panel. Go to Start>Control Panel>Performance and Maintanence>System Restore. The System Restore option is at the top left under "See Also". Hope it helped!!!
