I think the guy needs to be given a chance. He will have a week of practice as the no1 QB. Unless he is getting the sort of protection David Carr has been getting the last few seasons I would keep him as the starter for the forseeable future. I think we have already seen that Brooks is not the future for the Raiders after 2 games.

I do. He could eventually be THE guy for the raiders, though right now he is very unpolished. Nevertheless, if you did play him over the (supremely) disappointing Aaron Brooks, you would have to stick with him through the lumps. Coming out of high school, Walter was one of the most highly touted recruits, and didn't disappoint at Arizona State, setting the PAC-10 record for passes (85) and beating John Elway's. Though the Raider Fans seem to like him, i wonder if they have the patience for him to go through a season like Alex Smith's last year...In short, i do have faith in Walter to pay dividends in the future, but he is defiantly not a short-term solution to the raiders problems.

it's not ignorant to not like the Raiders, or any other team.

He's better than Aaron Brooks. It doesn't get much worse than that.

Walter has some upside and he should be able to show this year if he's a legit starter or not.

he hasn't shown me anything.

the thing that did it for me was in the last game at the end, he threw a pass out the back of the end zone instead of throwing it to a wide open Randy Moss.

we should have drafted Matt leinart

I'm a very depressed Raider fan rite now

He's at least better than that trainwreck of a QB, Aaron Brooks.

If he can get the ball to Moss, maybe they'll at least score some points.
