is marathon good?

If i ran in a marathon does it look good for school applicationa and in my resume especially if the foundation was Lance Armstrong Foundation? Is it community service by the way?

Running a marathon would show that you can apply yourself to a difficult task that requires a lot of preparation.

If you raised money by running the marathon for a particular cause, then yes, it is volunteering and community service. If you just ran along side them and didn't raise any money, I guess you were "cheering them on," but I would not suggest listing this as community service.
