I'll make it simple so you can understand. Gas prices are going down because the elections are coming. It is an incentive to get people to vote Republican. They will sky-rocket after the elections no matter who wins because the greedy bastards know they can get by with it. Just imagine the size of Dubya's "blind trust".

PS. Word is in Texas is that Bush wants gas at $5.00 by the time he leaves office.

There are a lot of greedy hands in the cookie jar and it's regular average schmo's like us that's gettin' reemed. The oil companies are gettin' some. The OPEC nations are getting some. The refinery guys are gettin' some. The gov'ment (taxes) is gettin' some. And the greedy corporate guys who invest in the oil stocks that drive the darn prices up that you and I will eventually pay for, are defintely gettin' some. The talk of shortages due to high demand is all bullcrap and it's been used as an excuse to drive the damn prices up, you and I know it. There is so much damn oil and alternative fuel sources but somehow it's not being used. Why? Well, go back to the start of my discussion. Remeber, we'er all just a bunch of sheeples being slaughtered and it's seems there ain't a darn thing we can do about it. Later ya'll.

Just like every year, the gas prices went up around Memorial Day, and then down right after Labor Day. Happens every year, doesn't matter who the President is.

I read an article in the Chicago Tribune today, and they made a very good point. Elections are coming up soon. The Republicans rose gas prices, and now.... well... they've dropped. Coincidence? Maybe not.

It was blamed on GW because most of the media is liberal owned and operated and GW used to work for an oil company.
The price dropped cause it's fall...the price always drops in the fall and winter. So I'm sure the media will still blame GW because it's still higher than it was last winter.

It's just a republican conspiracy to win the elections in November. After the election gas will go back up to $3.00 per gallon.

It's the speculators fault more than anyone else. However, Bush does have interests in the oil industry so you never know for sure.

nope...hes got to buy gas too. Most CEOs make more in a year than the president does.
Its OPEC's fault...its all about the almighty $ and power.

Gas prices are also dropping in Europe. Do you think Republicans control it there also?
