Why does he try to change so many things that are relevant in our country and internationally? He tried to amend both the constitution and the Geneva convention. I thought he was a conservative. Why all the sudden urge for change?

Are you aware of how many Amendments have been made to our Constitution? And he has a point on the Geneva Convention, it needs to be clarified in many areas, it can be quite vague. Now if what he wants done is the right thing or not is a different subject.

It isn't a sudden urge for change - since taking office, Bush has tried to change and manipulate the system to fit his ideal of where our country should go. Unfortunately, his vision is blurred and he doesn't really know what is best for our country - and so has instead simply screwed us as a nation.

He needs to keep changing the rules in order to protect himself from himself, and his speeches.
He can't possibly remember all the lies he has told. Therefore what he says today, will most likely change in the next five minutes. He chose the wrong line of work, maybe he should have become a meteorologist.

I shall give you the truncated answer. He is the type of person that adopts a view about an issue, and refuses to test the hypothesis. If his plan fails, he will never admit that it was flawed, and lays blame on others, or circumstances beyond his control. He is intellectually lazy, and his inferiority complex causes him to panic for fear that he will be perceived as being weak. He is a poor planner!

He's confusing because he's confused. (Use of cocaine will often do that to a person....)
I think that he is trying to please too many masters--the prez. is really only a face that is put out there by the real "powers that be", anyway.
