in the summer they sleep in nest in trees or on the ground. in the winter when cubs are born in a cave it is called a den.

The lair is where they have their cubs,then they move them to their "DEN" Then they can name their home any thing they want to :for example "Bears Abode" or "Blue Beary Cottage" or it goes on and on for as many bears as there is.

Usually den. But I've heard of one that was found sleeping in an eagles nest and one was sleeping in the basement of an abandoned building right up the road from me.

Black Bear sand Grizzlies have dens and polar bears just roam...the others I have no idea about.
