70 ml. You want 7 ml to be whatever the solution is of. So 70 ml of the 10% solution + 30 ml of water.

Master Maverick is obviously correct. With 70 ml of the 10% soln you have 7 ml of the 100% solution. By adding 30 ml more of water you get 100 ml of 7%.solution!!

Master Maverick is correct. If you have 70 ml of the 10% soln it is still a 10% soln. It has to be diluted to get it to 7%.

I'd go with Master Maverick too. You need to dilute the 70ml of the origial solution with 30ml of the solvent to get the 100ml - 7%
