I think it's interesting that if the Pope quotes some mideval king, we're supposed to understand muslim anger. But when they burn him in effigy, insult him, curse him, threaten him, and liken him to Hitler, we're supposed to sit back and accept it?
WTF? Are the ALL insane? Frankly, there's not another group of people in the world as backwards, unsophisticated, and violent as middle eastern muslims.

No, it's not only unfair but this protest after Pope's apologies is just creating the conflict about the Iranian supreme leader's policies.
If anyone claims on other that he his trying to make violence and the victim protest against it then it's OK but once he requested for forgiveness then what is the motive behind this protest? are they expect any further action should be taken against the Pope?
This purpose of protest should be made cleared to the citizens.

Before quoting from history against the Muslims & Islamic History the Pope should remember that his predecessors (including the Pope of Assissi) had performed the bloody crusade against Islam which lasted about 5 centuries. There is enough proof from history that Christianity has used more violence than anyother religion has. This was relevant even before the Byzantine Emperor of 14th century he had quoted and it still is. It is better that all spiritual and political leaders like Pope, Ayatollah of Iran and George Bush stop spreading hatred against each other. Then only we can dream of a safe and secure world for us and our generations to come.

The all-powerful Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei, who is also the commander-in-chief of Iran's military (and their atomic bomb-in-progress) does not need any excuse to urge protests against the pope, the US, the UK, or the whole non-Muslim world. That is his job. He is a Muslim cleric. He says jihad is a "liberation movement and a campaign against slavery" not imposing religious belief on others.

No it is not. Iran's president is a very dangerous man and is only trying to stir up more trouble besides what he is already doing with the nuke problem. He has also taken up with Hugo Chavez, the president of Venezuela, who also hates the US. These two and China, along with what is going on in Iraq and Afghanistan, could very well start a world war. They are all supplying arms to other rogue countries. The US has banned any arms from being sold to Venezuela.

The muslims want the Pope to recant and he won't nor should he.
I find all of this quite interesting to say the least. All of us know, or should know, that the Pope is one of the most powerful figures on the world's stage. Knowing this we can surmise that his speech was no accident but was calculated.
The whole world's eyes are now on this Pope and it will be very interesting to see what his next move will be.

Iranian leaders are fanatic zombies who follow no religion but fanaticism, they should better be given lectures on Quran for a month so that they know their own religion better. These fanatics have really spoiled the very image of Islam which otherwise is such a lovely religion.

Not at all. But fairness and muslims are the opposite sides of the poles. Reason and fairness cannot be expected from them.

The pope is a jerk for saying it. But people who kill in protest of words are much worse. I almost think the pope wants to taunt the Muslims and start a holy war.
