True love is mutual respect and an emotional connection stemming from that respect. Ture love is to want to be with someone not for any benefit to oneself, but utterly without concern for oneself. It consists of complete devotion on both parties to the other party.
Obviously, it does not exist, since people aren't capable of devoting themselves completely to something beyond themselves. Selfishness is an inescapable part of being a living being. We can get closer to or farther from this ideal, however, but that's like saying women can get closer to or farther from a Barbie doll in appearance; it's not worth making the comparison in either case.

True love is : patience, tenderness, kindness, honesty, friendship, understanding, a willingness to listen, a willingness to compromise, the simple things that make up every day life, it doesn't boast, wanting to grow old with someone, and perhaps a little bit of passion to spice it up. It worries about the other person, and puts them above ones self. (not in a servant way, but in an honoring way). It protects and trusts, and most-of all takes every day work to nurture and foster.

one soul living in two bodies. when you are in perfect synch with someone and feel like they are an extention of you to the point of you having to have them be a part of your life, but i dont mean in a sick obsessive way, thats not love, its obsession. you trust yourself fully so you should also trust that person fully and not feel the need to be with them 24 hrs a day.
