I don't get it. How can people be so certain of the existence or non- existence of spirits, the supernatural, or such when they will cry out from the highest mountain thier absolute belief and ironclad faith in a religion which is based on exactly these things? I'm fifty eight and I still have an open mind, how about you guys? Rat

Oh, by the way, I never said whether or not I believe in these things, that was not my question, so go easy on me, OK? Man, you guys aren't only smart, you can be brutal! Spiritually yours, Rat

I think you're confusing your theology there. For example, I'm a Christian. I believe in the supernatural, ie the Father, Son, Holy Ghost, angels, demons, Satan, all of that.
I don't believe in ghosts in the sense that "Grandpa's coming back to haunt me because I accidentally backed over his cat." See, Christians believe that the soul doesn't wander - when you die, you either go to heaven or hell (or purgatory, if you're Catholic.) Meaning there's no limbo - you're in an afterlife, somewhere. Hence, no ghosts.

I believe in the Holy Ghost and also in the ghost that are here on this plane. The reason other people want to believe in the Holy Ghost and not the others is the simple fact that they are scared and frightened of things that they know nothing about. They criticize every one that believes and they think they are right. They also think that they know everything. But they have another think coming. They know absolutely nothing if they do not have an open mind about things.

I'm sixty and it disgusts me also such hipocracy. To think that anything other than the HOLY GHOST ,JESUS, and ANGELS are manifestations of evil.
In the beging of the Bible but before the creation of the Physical universe. The CREATOR ( also called THE SELF MADE ONEand the ANCIENT of DAYs) created form its own body sparks that became the souls of ALL that was and Will BE.

Hey Rat....not sure if you know this, but the Trinity, most recently, has been nomenclated as "The Father, the Son, and the Holy SPIRIT". Yes, that's verbiage "ghost" "spirit".
I think when you are saying "people" here, you are really meaning "Christians" who don't believe in 'ghosts' but believe in the Holy Spirit?

People fear that which they do not understand. That is why they "choose" not to believe in ghost. The old saying goes - if you don't see it, its not real. But you cant see it unless you believe in it. The Holy Ghost is more metaphorical. That is just another loophole of Christianity (no offense meant to any Christians). But that is another discussion for another time...

The Holy Ghost is God. God can appear as a spirit if He wants to. It doesn't mean that human spirits exist, that is an entirely different matter.

Umm, I was a Wiccan and specifically chose to convert to Catholicism because they do believe in a spirit world, specifically demons and angels.

If you worship Jesus and have his Holy Spirit living inside of you then you know about the supernatural, and demons and angels!
