I would have saved a lot of money, I would have spent less time in the hospital with pneumonia. I would have spent less time coughing and hacking, I would not have ruined my voice, I would not have stained my teeth and aged my face. I wouldn't have spent twenty years carting the stupid things around everywhere with me, and feeling like I couldn't function without them.

But that's in the past...I quit a little while ago, and in time I'll be a lot healthier, and look a lot better!

LOL, very good question!! I have been smoking for 50 years now.If I had known I'd survive being shot twice, stabbed once, two auto accidents, and being run over by a train, I might not have ever started. Most people don't consider their mortality when they start smoking, however in my particular case not smoking wouldn't have made any differance. As a matter of fact it may end up being an end to the misery!!! LOL

I wouldn't have the friends I have today.

My best Friend and began our friendship over shared smoke breaks on campus.

Most of my close friends are musicians and most smoke in one form or another. The first one I met was because we were both smoking at a friends party. He was kind of my gateway friend into the circle of people I love most in this world.

I'd have a little more money. And a lot less love.

But I do need to quit. We All do.

Well, I don't smoke but if my loved ones hadn't smoked I would still have them around. I lost my dad when he was only 46 and my grandpa too. I have friends that smoke and if they saved the $5/day instead of smoking they'd easily be able to put their kids through college (once they're college age) and they'd be able to save a lot for retirement...just to put it in perspective if someone smokes 1-1.5 packs a day (and this is assuming cigs don't go up in price-haha) spends $85,775 before retirement age. If they had instead invested the money, they'd at very least have several hundred thousands for retirement (and they'd be more likely to be alive to see retirement), but it is very likely that they'd be a millionaire if the money was invested wisely and interest rates were in his/her favor (if you don't believe this, remember that you get interest on your investment, interest on the interest and interest on that interest...etc) So basically...If my dad hadn't smoked he'd be alive today...and could have been a millionaire in a few years. I figured all of this up a while ago to try to convince my friends to stop smoking. I hope you don't smoke, but if you do I hope you keep this in mind!

Wow that is easy. I'd own a new car, home and have 3 more friends. The $5.00-$8.00 a day habit would have allowed me to save some money and buy the things I'd like. I would have at least 3 more friends as they have died of throat and lung cancer. I would not be using oxygen at 48 yrs of age.
