Herpes is usually only spread during outbreaks, however the female could have an outbreak start 'inside' before it appears on the outside. I would say that the odds are very high that your boyfriend has herpes.

Personally I would not sleep with anyone I knew had herpes or such exposure to it. If you haven't already, don't. If you have, think hard before doing it again. Herpes is very painful and will mark you for life. If your boyfriend doesn't last forever, then it will be your moral obligation to inform your next lover and it will screw up your love life for as long as you live.

Many big cities have social outlets for people with herpes to meet other people with herpes, that's where your future would be. (I went out w/ a girl who got herpes from an ex, she won't even get involved w/ anyone now. I did not sleep with her).

Recently it has come to light that YES if unprotected sex is had even when partner is showing no signs of break out it is possible to get Herpes.
Sad to say this is news given too late to many as it was thought not to be the case for years.
He needs to be tested.

I believe that it is possible from the information that I have read to contract herpes even if your partner is not suffering from a breakout. If I were you, be cautious and consult an ob/gyn or family health practitioner. Better to be empowered by knowledge than to have a nagging doubt in your mind.

anything is possible. i had it back years ago say 86. contracted from someone who did not have symptoms. 3 boys and 20 yrs later and only a good 4 break outs from that time my sons fathers have not contracted it. could be dormant, but i hadnt taken the medicine in years either. the best thing to do is protect yourself. my one night of ignorance caused me a lifetime of pain. always protect yourself. the thing with me is the dude knew he had it. but the ultimate decision was on me. dont be that woman that 20 yrs later you hate

Yeah I had the same problem cause I am a stomach/side sleeper too. Sometimes for me just focusing on the other person's heartbeat or breathing makes me fall asleep. Or just spoon that puts you on your side. Stomach is really hard to do cause your arm gets really heavy and girls complain. Sweet dreams!? Good Luck!

it is likley he has it, but you can have herpes and NEVER show signs of it.the virus sheds even when you dont have an outbreak.valtrex cuts the chances of spreading it by 1/2.80% of the population has herpes and most dont have symptoms at all.
