would it be safe to take expired sudafed medicine from 02/2006? its all sealed, but it's expired. It's only 7 months old, and I really need some, since I can't get a new box yet.

Would it have any bad side effects?

serious answers only, please.

Thanks!

no, it is proven in some circles that prescription medicine and over the counter stuff too doesn't go bad but the experation dates are simply to sell more product and help make the pharmacetical industry youp you guessed it more rich!

take the pills you'll be fine

They have to put a "use by" or "sell by" dates on medication and most foods. After the "use by" date means the medication may lose it's effectiveness. I have used outdated stuff with no problems and would think that the worst thing that would happen with the sudafed is ... it doesn't work. Just don't take too many thinking more will make it work.

But,... it's not even a year yet.. so I am sure it's no problem

I think I've heard that you can take them up to a year after they are expired. I don't think it would have any bad side effects but I wouldn't take them for very long... Get a new pack soon

Go ahead and take some, it won't kill you, if anything the effects of it won't be as great.

May have less potency but that is it. Take them and wash your hands.
