I wouldn't say that we cheat more, it's just that we're better cheaters, sad to say. Men are careless and less inclined to think about the small things like dry cleaner receipts, clothes, numbers carelessly left in pockets, things like that. We women are just sneakier by nature. We're more in tune with our partners and therefore know what each likes and dislikes so it's not hard to keep them from getting confused. So no I don't think we cheat more. We cheat longer for sure. But not more.

Yes, as it has always been! History!
A year or so ago a Female professor did a study on this and found that 51% of females lies and cheats next to 49% of men.
Even some of the TV talk shows have done a fine job establishing this as well!
The problem is most women refuse to accept this! Women do seem to like playing ostrich!
I've often stated that what ever you can say about men you can also say about women and be just as truthful and visa versa!
It's not right on either side of the fence! Women have embraced sexual freedom, thus walking right into the plans of men and they are not helping matters for themselves or anyone else! It's really sad!

The studies that the talk shows are talking about lately are about women cheating just as much as men are. Both sexes are equally miserable, and looking to cheat as a way of dealing with a troubled marriage. Ya know what that means....it means both sexes are equally confused about what it means to be in committed relationship. Cheating is just a symptom of other problems in a relationship. Couples give up too easily by looking outside of the marriage for someone to give them what their spouse can't. Most of the men/women that cheat are lonely, and don't feel wanted, needed or appreciated. Check out Oprah and Dr. Phil web sites for more info.

because women (in USA) have been empowered these days and they take their ques from dear hubby. Keep hearing about infidelity by men? Well FRACK... why not preempt the son of a biznitch by cheating on HIM first?
Only ones to blame is men, and their penile infantility.

it is hard to know without studies. i think men will always be the biggest cheaters because they stay immature for too long compared to women who mature faster. also, men are known to not think with brains but with their penis.
more women are becoming cheaters nowadays, thanks to men who gave such good influence and the good start of it all. some women cheat because men cheated on them. women are tired of being the goody goody opposite sex.
