There's been a lot of amazing accomplishments in sports. What accomplishment or record do you think is least likely to ever be broken, duplicated, or outdone? I'm talking about anything here, such as...

- Individual game records (Wilt's 100 points in a game)
- Individual season records (DiMaggio's 56-game hitting streak)
- Individual lifetime records (Cy Young's 511 wins)
- Team game records (Pistons scoring 186 points in a 1983 NBA game)
- Team season records (Bulls going 72-10)
- Team all-time records (Yankees' 26 championships, Braves' run of division titles)

What's the one thing that has happened in sports that will never, ever happen again? There's a lot to choose from, but I'm curious to see what everyone thinks.

Also, you don't have to pick from the ones I listed. Anything goes. Those examples are some of the more famous ones but there are countless others.

UCLA's 7 straight basketball championships (10 in 12 years), too many good players either not going to college at all or leaving after one or two years.

I don't believe that anyone will ever score 100 points in a basketball game ever again. I also think that it is very unlikely that anyone will hit in more than 56 consecutive games or carry a .400 batting average through a season. No pitcher will win 30 games in a season, much less 511 for a career.

Out of the list you've got, I'd say Joe's 56. Besides that, the day that a pitcher strikes out 21 in a game will be an amazing day. Gayle Sayers' 6 touchdowns is a big one, too.

Phar Lap-horse racing

Never in history has a horse been so weighed down because of winnings (it almost broke many race tracks-because of its winnings) You will never see it again--other famous winning horses--but never the same action that was used with this one, tracks made new rules so it never happens again.

Cal Ripken's 2632 consecutive games. Too many injuries. Nobody plays through it anymore, they come out for a sniffle or a menstrual cramp.
