why does indoor lighting strain my eyes??

Because it is artificial. If you wear glasses, wear tinted ones. If you don't consider some lightly shaded sunglasses. You just have sensitive eyes.

If it is too weak, and/or the spectrum of the lighting is unnatural, it can strain eyes.

it happens to me also and its because my puples dont adjust to the light correctly and i have green eyes wich i hear are more sensitive to the light.
