Chimps are polygamous and polyandrous, i.e. they all have a grand time having lots of sex without any pair bonding getting in the way. This is why Chimp testes are about triple the size of human testes. A female might have a dozen babies during her reproductive life, all from different fathers. Monogamy is quite rare among all mammals, actually, but wolves are known to practice it.

I only know that birds are monogamous. Female snake mates with dozens of males to find the strongest partner. The chinese cranes are a symbol of monogamy.
