how to set online timer for kids

My friend's dad programmed their internet to shut off at exactly 12:00 I'm not sure how to do it though. They have a broadband router system...you may want to look into it.

Most of them have the ability to set time limits. I know they're not free but it's not much money for the safety of your kids.
