Like any medical advice you find on the internet or elsewhere, it must be evaluated carefully. Ultimately, each person is responsible for their own health care, and health professionals can help a person understand the potential benefits and risk of suggestions and advice.

It's just another reference tool in the arsenal of medical knowledge.

I wouldn't depend on the answers given here, but it's always nice to gather a basis of information from people who may know things. That way, you can sort of know what you're up against, and from there you can judge whether or not you need a doctor.

I might ask questions, but I would research the illness and ask a Doctor or Nurse questions. I would not accept the answers here as the only ones.

Yes, I so would! And if a person who was not a medical professional offered some helpful and well-meant advice, I would totally send them hate mail and jump down their throat, because you know, everything on Yahoo Answers is meant to be taken as gospel! Otherwise, how dare you answer my question!

NO..but as Clarinet said ..is helpful to gather information and personal experiences from other people who have been through or are going through certain situations... by the way would you believe all the photos you see on the net??...'cause yours look FAKE

depends how serious. if life thretening prob your doctor but if something lil like i cant get over my chocolate craing, what should i do or something, than ya
