I didn't say anyone who didn't agree with the lifestyle was homophobic. I used the word homophobic. Complete difference, you ignorant *****.

I doubt it. They'd probably run to the nearest church and pray for God to take away their "sin". Ignorance is hard to change for people that are stuck in their ways.

I'm not sure. Even as oppressed individuals, some queer people are still oppressing other people based on sexual orientation, gender, and sex identity etc. Bi-phobia, Trans-phobia, ...just to name a few of many. Homophobia is just another type of gender enforcement "you're not acting like a real man/woman should! You must be Gay! [Deviant] [Unnatural!]"
Bi phobia and trans phobia are also types of gender enforcement...

It is possible though, that they might realize what they are doing. but it would have to be a sudden change, and where they are immediately thrust into the persecution. Otherwise, the mind would insulate them, and they would become a little more apathetic, and more apt to forget the experience for long when it is all done..

I have posted a question here, and reposted it in Gender Schmender, a gender education community, the question is "
What Invisable priviledges have you seen within queer Hierarchies?"

I'm a gay person and I don't feel as if I've ever been persecuted. Actually I have a lot of straight friends, and I grew up in the country where people wouldn't be expected to be gay friendly.

Some of them claim to have--ex-gays--and that doesn't seem to do much for them.

Incidentally, while I think LGBT people have a lot of challenges everywhere, I'd much rather be a bi woman in America than any kind of woman in, say, Saudi Arabia.

No, because they are too ignorant to know when to keep their mouths shut or expand their minds.
Hon, they are never going away. Just gotta get used to them being around, just like the rats in the NYC subway system.

Yeah, I think they would probably be more understanding. I think it would be awesome if we all could spend time being different races, genders, sexual orientations, etc. We could empathize with people who are different from ourselves. Maybe there would be less hatred and intolerance in the world.

I do, wouldnt that be a good thing to see. There was an episode of 30 days that kinda dealt with that. It was pretty good.

Perhaps, perhaps not. I personally don't agree with the lifestyle, but so what? Live life free, just so long as you aren't hurting anybody.

No, they'd be killed. By who? Themselves, because they wouldn't be able to handle it. Wussies!
