How many of you have been obsessing over your points and levels? Why? Is it human nature? We always have to feel like we are the best?

I ALWAYS wonder the same thing. Right now, I think I have to get about 300+ pts to get to level 4 and although I only answer a few questions a day I always check to see how far I have to go. What's funny is that the only thing I win is the option to answer more questions LOL. Human nature I suppose....

I just want the ability to be able to rate the quality of answers. I also don't like not having all the privileges of Level 2. Once I get there, I am sure I won't care how many points I have.

Must get to level 5, must get to level 5, nothing will stand in my way. (J/K) Who cares about points, all it is a contest to see who has the most free time on their hands, it's not like the points are worth anything.

I don't rightly now. It's a real funny thing, though. Even Wikipedia mentions the "addictive" quality of Y!Answers. I was at level 2, under the name solipsistic, but due to repeated explicit postings, Yahoo! terminated All of my Yahoo! services. It's like when JC was crucified.

I couldn't care less about points. I got so many by having my answers picked. I just get on here when I'm bored. I don't watch tv, so this is my entertainment and if I can help someone out with my answer, then that's great!

Ego :) but I obsess over 'Best Answers' b/c I really try to give ppl the best possible advice and I hope that I've been of help to them, of course w/serious questions only......

I think most people have in their mind that they want to get to a certain level. Once they get that the points don't matter anymore. I don't think they obsess...I think it's just a goal they set for themself, and goals are good.

I don't really care to tell you the truth. If I did, I'd never ask questions because I'd be too cheap to spare the points like some people are. Sad.

It's not really the points, but I do love a best answer.
