What is the purpose of Terrorist Attacks. Is there a real negotiation against them, and what can anyone offer to a terrorist to convince them it isn't the right path?

The purpose of terrorist attacks is to strike fear into the perceived enemies, and oftentimes to attempt to effect by force and violence political changes in line with one's own, or one's group's , "agenda". Is there a real negotiation against them? Depends on the "type" of terrorist in my opinion. They USED to be able to negotiated with successfully, in some cases. But not anymore.

The new breed of terrorists, usually Muslim fanatics for example such as alQaeda types, cannot be negotiated with or reasoned with whatsoever. They will respond only to force, and must be dealt with accordingly.

You can offer nothing to a terrorist to convince them it isn't the right path. They are people whose minds are made up 110% by the time they've decided to resort to violence against civilians, etc, to try to make their political (and or religious) "point". What you can do to convince them it isn't the right path is catch them out ahead of time and foil their plans, and or use extreme force against them to completely outgun and either capture , or kill, them. It's like coming upon a nest of gaboon vipers; you don't stand around and dilly-dally or think about how to talk sense. Their primary "function" is to strike, and they are deadly, and thus they must be dealt with accordingly, as the US and the UK , and Israel, have all been doing for years now.

I think you have to look at WHY they choose this path. What provokes them? Why are they angry?

Then to stop terrorism work on solving the problems that are the root of it. I don't think we'll ever completely eliminate terrorism, but there is a way to reduce it and it is NOT the way being used today.

Most poeple do things thinking they are doing the right thing, when what they are doing is seen as evil to others. Every body KNOWS that evil is, it is the same in every religion, except in religions that promote evil, evil is wrong. Whether it is called evil, wicked, negative or hate it is wrong. So if we all know what evil is why do people still do evil? Because we think we are doing it for the right reason.convince people they are doing the what they do for the wrong reason. There is no good resean to do the wrong thing.

Firstly I am not certain that terrorism has anything to do with terror.....I'm beginning to think that it is only about bringing chaos to western society....primarily financially.

Terrorists are blind to the world and their thinking is so narrow.

You cant. They are obsessive, single minded individuals committed to their cause to the degree they are willing and perhaps eager to sacrifice themselves.
