My HW says to "Determine if each conjecture is true or false b ased on the given information. Explain your answer." It says "Given: collinear points X, Y, and ; Z is between X & Y. Conjecture: XY + YZ=XZ" I am struggling in this subject and need help, if u are planning to say something like "Do your own homework" keep that crap to yourself you will get reported, thx for the people that help =).

False. Consider the situation described:

X----Z----Y

It is clear that XZ < XY < XY + YZ, thus it follows that XY + YZ ≠ XZ.
