Doesn't exist yet.
I need a hybrid that doesn't use electricity/batteries as the energy storage medium. I want a compressed air tank stretching the length of the car that also serves as the "backbone" for the car's structure.
Then I want four 6 cylinder engines displacing about 180cc each kicking on in response to the pressure in the compressed air tank. When an engine comes on line, it will run at optimum rpm for efficient fuel burn and power output and create nothing but low air pressure via a roots type compressor. The low pressure air will either turn a compressor to make high pressure, or drive the front wheels of the car depending on operator "demand" at the "gas-pedal". A variable-drive transmission will regulate the amount of spin to the compressor based on input from a pressure sensor on the input line to the pneumatic slave turning the compressor.
The rear wheels will be actuated by high pressure held in reserve in the compressor tanks. (in response to gas pedal demand, of course)
If built, this design would net over 100 miles to the gallon . . . easily, probably significantly more.
I don't think I'm asking too much, do you?

A cool looking fast convertible sports car, that actually DRIVES in the snow, where you dont feel you are in a coffin on wheels. LOL
I love my Z right now and would like it in a convertible, but the drive in the winter is not safe. Am not too greedy.
