I take my test next week to be sure...
I'm just interested in the different ways that people have told their significant other and/or their families that they were expecting...

we'll when my fiancee found out it wasnt very romantic because I had awful cramps and ended up in the ER and the Doc came in and said we'll we got your test back and we found something.I was freaked at this time. Then the doc said so how do u feel about becoming a mommy? It was kinda funny at the time cause he turned white as a sheet and before he was so worried that something was really wrong. Telling the grandparents was great because my dad kept saying he'd be in a wheel chair before he seen a grandbaby. I peed on 2 sticks just to make sure the doc wasnt lying. My mom was working and I wrapped the 2 sticks in a little box and took it to her work. She didnt know what in the world I was giving her a present for. The look on her face was priceless, she started jumping up and down and cried. then she had to go around showing all her co workers my pee sticks. they are both thrilled.

Well dad has the right to know first. It is hard, but if he wants a child that though would be easier. This is an at home thing you have to do. Quiet and his full attnetion. There is really no "easy way". You just have to tell him. Then the two fo you can break it to your parents. Plan a strategy to let them know.

I wouldn't say anything until I knew for sure. But if you are just tell them they are gonna be a grandma, grandpa, dad, aunt, uncle, or whatever they will be to your baby. That's what I did. They thought it was cute. If they don't take it well just tell them to just think positive b/c its too late now its already been done just be happy that they will soon have a baby to enjoy. I wish you lots of luck

Well...assuming you think it's a good thing... tell BF face to face, perhaps in a private location..
As for the family, I read in a book where someone announced their pregnancy by wrapping up a couple of baby items in a small package (probably bibs and a rattle would do), and letting them ( your parents) open it up. I think it's kind of a neat way to announce it.

I made my bf sit in the bathroom with me while I peed on the stick.. when there was a postive result he was right there with me. We told our moms first by calling them both up and saying "So would you rather have a grandson or a granddaughter?" (it's both sets of grandparents first grandbaby) Suprisingly, they answered that they didn't care.. and THEN they understood they were actually going to have one of the two..

it sounds lots such as you're pregnant. you in user-friendly terms indexed lots of the indications of being pregnant. the pull out approach means no longer something. ever hear of pre-***? it has sperm in it too. stable luck coping with this, yet next time be greater careful and to blame.

first i'd tell my boyfriend there is a chance that i'm pregnant that will let you know what type of person he is then if i'm playing on keeping the baby i'd wait and see if i really am no sense in upsetting your family when there might not be any need good luck

we had just moved in together when I found out. He was at work and I called him and said he had to move the computer desk out of the office cause i was putting something else there. He was all pissed cause he had just put the desk in the room that day. so i told him he had 8 months to move it to make room for the crib. He said..."whos crib?" and i said "our baby's!" He still laughs at himself when he thinks about it.

"Guess what, I swallowed a watermelon seed". That's a southern joke. I recommend you not to use that. My cousin from Alabama did, and my aunt almost had a heart attack. But the way she said it was funny as hell!
