hell no, black cloths are the best in absorbing heat, so i dont understand how it can be cool on a cold day if its the best at absorbing heat

yes; this perception is true.Let us try find out why. As u know the white light is made up of 7 monochromic wavelengths. what we call as VIBGYOR. An object gets illuminated that is it's only visible when it reflects some kind of wavelength. for example if u see a red flower, it reflects the color red while absorbing the rest of them. A stuff looks white when it reflects all and absorbs none.
A black stuff absorbs all the wavelength and returns none that is why it looks black.

In hot days, thus the black cloth makes the body hot..

However ther is another law in physiscs known as "Law of Conduction of heat energy". With the grievience of this law a black stuff radiates enegy faster than any other stuff.due to this at the time of cold when the circumpherence is at lower tempertaure the black stuff radiates energy faster and hence becomes lower than the normal one.

That's it.

Thanx

black is a good absorber of heat but a poor reflector.
on a hot day u feel REALLY hot if uwear a black cotton shitr.
but on a cold day, since it is a poor reflector, the body remains warm as it keeps the heat left in your body with you and does not let it go out! so only part 1 of the question is true and part 2 is false.

hope u got the explanation!!!

if someone does not know the answer it is better not to answer at all!!!. Ok now a perfect black body absorbs all energy and actually reflects none. so wearing black clothes in the sun will make you boil.."""" but is you consider a black body in a room you would expect ti to be warmer than the other bodies. FALSE. black body is the greater emmiter of heat as well. it the black body keeps on absorbing absornging energy it will heat up more than other objects. so in a room it should be warmer. FALSE i say again. in a system thing tend to follow th erule.....warm get colder and cold get warmer in order to be coherent with the laws of thermodynamics an dthe lwas of conservation of energy.
please remeber that black body is a great emitter as well.

Sounds only half right. Black will absorb heat from an infra-red source (the sun) so on a sunny day no matter if the temp is hot or cold, the body will feel heat when wearing black. if there is no sun there will be no effect relative to color.

Sorry, not true.
Black material will absorb more energy than light material which will radiate. On any day, hot or cold, the black cloth will pick up more warmth than light colored materials. On the hot day the black gets much hotter. On the cold day it only gets a little warmer.

Black will heat up on on hot days. It will draw the heat from the sun more. On cool days it will not cool you down though for the same reason. It draws heat.

Black cloth heats up the body on a sunny day cause of black body radiation pricipal. but nothing doing on a cold day.

since black cloth doesn't allow heat to go out , during cold days u'r body will be relatively hot increasing differance in temperature b/w body & surroundings & make u 'FEEL' cold. ie black cloth doesn't cools down u'r body but makes u 'feel' cold. hope u got the differance.

Also it is a good emitter too but rate of absorption exceeds rate of emission.
