because of ego, vanity, pride... three traits mischievously playing our minds, blocking our view, twisting our reasons...

be not worried of what others think. each task has different level, different degrees, different solutions, different measures... acceptance is a key to existence, true. but man can essentially realized that existence even in anonymity is a key of acceptance of what is valid or true...

why worry? be happy...

I believe it's human nature to have a desire of belonging or fitting in and being accepted. Otherwise, we are cast out and left to feel different. Even the most independent person needs to fit in because we are a social breed.

Because ordinary people have a need to "fit in", whereas artists and other unconventional people don't care about such things.

People who are conventional have to buy a bunch of designer clothes, and shoes, and such, to make people think they're rich, and have to make sure everything they do/wear/say fits in with their stupid rich boy click. They don't want their Greek grandma to pick up the phone when their friend calls, because their friends will single them out and make fun of them because of it.

People who aren't artists or have nothing special about them, need tons of preppy Dave Matthews Band loving friends to surround themselves so they don't feel lonely and bad about how unspecial they are.

Its is a sense of loneliness. People would rather make them so to fit in and be accepted by others then to stand out and be their selves!

We all want to fit in some were, and sometimes we want to fit into the wrong places and destroy our sense of being ourselves.

i think it is because we all want to be accepted by others..... i feel that some people just strive at harder because of things like peer pressure, gender, race, ect...... sometimes they just dont feel like they fit in and so they try harder but the best advice of all is to be your self no matter what..... its a good thing we are all different if not the world would be a boring place..... goog luck and god bless

It is part of the human condition for people to want others to like them and think positively about them.

if they want to be part of a click or a community, they worry to be accepted. since there are standards or some people are just too perfectionist... it could be insecurity.

Because they are insecure and don't have self confidence. Anyway, that's non-sense, you shouldn't care about people just be yourself, as we all know we can't please everybody so its a foolish act to do things that you think is acceptable to others.

Fear of being left all alone. Personally, I couldn't care less. If they think I'm not good enough, their loss not mine.
It's exhausting having to constantly "mould" yourself to BE liked, really. Why can't we all be accepted for who we readily are?!
