Hey Manny,
Yup! You'll have to be in school or emancipated. If you are in school you'll have to go to a counselor and get enrolled in Work Program. If you are emancipated, bring your paperwork with you when you apply. If Work Program, you'll not be able to work more than your state allows (I think it's 20 hours during the week) and you can't work past 10pm. Weekends you're allowed until 11:00pm.
Keep your grades up and work hard!
My first job was at 14 1/2 and I loved it! It's good to have money that you don't have to borrow from your parents!
Jobs Available:
Fast Food
Retail - includes, Home Improvement, Nursery (Plants, not kids), Furniture Stores, Retail (Look at the smaller places, like for stocking), Flyer distribution and don't forget Sign Twirler (That money's real good!)
Auto Parts (If you know about cars and trucks)
Some Delivery (Pizza, probably not. But Groceries, yes!)
Ask at the places that your folks and family shop at! They will be most willing to hire you because they know that you'll want your family to be proud!
