About how old do you think he is? (He's a blotched kingsnake)

He sounds like a juvenile about 9-10 mo. old. I picked up a male high white Cal. King that was about 10-12in & he's now 4ft. at 8mo. They do really spurt fast at this age.

He was pretty much a hatchling when you got him. Just add a month to how long you have had them. They grow a lot faster as young and will slow down as they get older. You should be feeding him 1 or 2 mice a week now. The older they get and the bigger the meal, the less you have to feed him. I feed my 5 foot ball python about 1 med. rat every 2 weeks. That is how much they need to eat w/o getting obese which causes the inactivity. Just telling a few other basics since you apparently didn't research the snake before you bought him.

Sounds like a yearling snake but doesn't sound like one for sale in the pet trade.

Well 10 inches is practically a hatchling....I'm actually concerned you might be powerfeeding it accidently. How much are you feeding it?
