Can I get the information of some one who is going to my website? I want to track him/her and find out who it is. Is this possible? I have this person's ip address.

It most likely won't be possible. Most people when they connect to the Internet get an IP address given to them from their ISP. Once they disconnect, that IP address is now available to give to someone new. So, just because you have the IP address of a visitor to your site, that doesn't mean that IP address will stay with that individual forever.

Even those people with broadband or cable/dsl often have their IP addresses changed (not as often, but they do change).

Even still ... the IP address doesn't really tell you that much. The folks at the ISP will know more, but they will never (NEVER) tell you unless you suspect the person has actually broken the law, and in that case the Police will need to get the info from the ISP.

So, the short answer is ... yes ... it's possible... not It's not likely YOU will ever get it.

Make sense?

Generally not - unless you found some way to install spyware - which is essentially what you're saying you want to do - you want to spy on this person.

If you don't mean spy on them, then you can look into Google Analytics - it's free.
