Big Time! In fact most television shows are an escape from reality. Personally I change the channel when the program I'm watching reminds me of what I don't want to think about because it is so real. It's a good thing reality shows are so unreal. They are such a huge part of television these days, there may not be anything else to watch. All I can do his hope that reality shows stay as fake as possible.

Well, it certainly does put my problems in perspective.
However, I like to watch more"game" show types of programs, like Amazing Race and Survivor and those have a tendencyto make me question myself and my limits and ask "I wonder what I would do if I had to eat 4 pounds of meat in one sitting?"
Watching TV is a nice "getaway", no matter what the type of show because for a little while I'm concerned about the story or the action and not worrying about the laundry or if the kitchen floor is clean, too bad those things are still tehre when I turn the TV off!

No, Jono....reality TV does for me what a laxative can't---and does it quite well too: almost worth the price for satellite TV.
Actually, I ascribe to a regimen of listening to REAL rock n' roll (classic 70's) and smooth jazz to float me away, if only for a little while, from all that worries or irks me (which inculdes those 'reality' TV shows).

No! I hate reality TV. I don't know why they call it "reality", because it couldn't be further from reality. It is STUPID!
