Nope, age is not nothing but a number..
Age determines the experiences you have been through and the attitudes you have towards life. Your diff attitudes may make it easier or tougher to stay together.
I ever had boyfriends who were 20 years, 15 years older than I was.. it was really cool initially cos older men just understood women better and could predict what you wanted and needed without you even needing to voice it out.
But, I also found that older men who were still available usually had some baggage and history behind them that someone as young as me at that time would not be able to handle. Heck even at 29 now, i wouldn't want to handle it.. which was why i left them :)
And I also felt there was inequality in the relationship because they became more like fatherly figures.. which suffocated me somewhat after some time because I think it is enough to have ONE natural father ;) I really dun need another parent to nag at me...
But I think ultimately, it is not wat age your partner is. It is more of what do you want in a life partner and whether this person falls into the category..
Men who are too many years older than me just dun fit into many of the characteristics that I want other than the loving and financially stable aspect.
But that could be different for you!
I would suggest you think about what characterisitcs you want in your life parter before you consider someone rather than consider if their age matters.

Age is just a number when like me and the wife...I am 37 she is 34....my grand parents was 10 yrs apart..same as my in-laws
but when you talk about like 20 yrs or more..it starts to get weird
it would be hard to enjoy the same music...movies.. and friends would be not be the same age...they have a dinner party for example...the guy is 50 she is 20...her friend comes over who is 20 or so..he has a friend come over who maybe 50 or so...what in common would his friend have at the dinner party or the other young woman...age can play a major roll..plus family might look down on it...

age is a number if all the conditions for a relationship are right. being physical and emotional.
age shows as it progresses but emotions can be controlled and created. maturity is in play here to counteract the physical changes that takes place when ages advances and passing comments from friends and colleagues.
its more of a emotional thing that being physical...its the heart that matters!

I'm 53. My dear husband is 77. We've been married over 20 years and couldn't be happier. He is the light of my life, my lover, friend, confidant, caregiver, we share everything. I can't imagine my life without him.
