I will be 7 wks on the 20th of this month and my stomach looks larger than usual for a 7thwk pregnacy, could I be further along? Also my stomach is itching and has been for 3-4 wks, what could this be attributed to? I don't think stretching of the stomach causes itching this early in pregnancy. could it be i'm having twins which would cause my stomach to stretch and itch sooner also looking bigger sooner?

If this is not your first baby, you will look bigger, sooner because your stomach muscles are not as tight. Itching is normal from changes in hormones. If your dr. thought you were having twins he/she would send you for an ultrasound. First day of your last period is not really accurate because you could have already been four weeks pregnant and had a false period. Ask your doctor, most of them order early ultrasounds anyway.

If it's your second (or greater) pregnancy you can look larger than you expect at any given stage. But you can definitely be farther along than expected based on last menstrual period, as some people bleed after they are already pregnant. Or it could be twins! Or maybe you already had uterine fibroids so your uterus started out bigger? Hopefully you're getting an exam really soon so someone can tell how big your uterus feels, listen for a heartbeat (or two) with doppler, or maybe even check an ultrasound. Good luck!

Yes. An early ultrasound gives a more accurate due date. You could have twins or be one of the unlucky of us that just get HUGE with baby. I show early. I look 6-7 months along right now and il'm only 17 weeks. I was huge right off the bat with my son people kept asking if I was having twins. Iching is caused by your skin streaching and sometimes can be related to a condition in pregnancy that your dr needs to know about. If lotion helps your skin is just streaching. Because you are getting big fast you could even be developing streachmarks now. Best bet is to get some cheap maternity clothes now and stock up on XL for later on. Congrats.

Some people can conceive before their period, and still have their period, actually it's happened to quite a few people in my family, possibly even me (If i'm pregnant I should onlt be 2 weeks, but I have been having symptoms like crazy!!) anyway, and yes it could be twins because you get extra hormones when when you carry multiples. When you get further along an ultra sound will tell you for sure what's going on.

I hope you are not getting PUPPP rash. I had that around 36 weeks and I ended up being induced because it got bad. There is no cure and little helps. I will put some sites that I hope you can read. I pray you don't get this :(

its hard to say every woman's body is diffrent it could be that your having twins or it could be u have alot of water weight. and then again everyone shows at diffrent times so you never no. sorry i couldnt have helped more but it looks like u will have to wait for ur first ultrasound! good luck
