This skill will DEFINATELY help you get jobs. After all French is the number 2 most spoken language in the world, following English and it seems as if you have that skill! Contrary to some beliefs, Spanish is Number 3! Imagine all the amazing things you could do speaking the 2 most spoken languages in the world!

It all depends on what you plan to do and where you plan to live once you graduate.
I took French in high school and university because my mother said it was the diplomatic language (I wasn't planning to go into the foreign service). I LIVED in south Florida which is now more than 50 percent Spanish-speaking, so -- Spanish would've been a much more useful choice.
On the other hand, I moved to western Europe where I initially used my French, such as it was (because it is one thing to learn and speak it in a classroom, even at university level, and a whole other thing to use it in daily life!). I now live in an area where I need to speak Dutch. (I have only ever worked in English.)
If you're planning to stay in the western hemisphere or go north/south, I think you'd get more mileage out of Spanish.
If you want to be able to communicate with the greatest number of people, take Chinese (I know several marketing graduates who are studying mandarin).
Finally, I think learning any language (after your "mother" tongue) is worthwhile and enriching. (Taking Latin in high school certainly helped my English and subsequently made studying grammar in French and Dutch much easier!) I wish I had started a second language at a younger age; my daughter is fluent in Dutch and English, has a working knowledge of French and can manage some basic German! She started her language studies in the FIRST grade, a standard practice here!
Good luck! Bonne chance!

About 1/2 the Western hemisphere speaks Spanish. One province in Canada speaks French. Where will you be working after college? I guess you'll be moving there or to France when you graduate.

Bon Voyage
