All real men like red heads, if they're friendly, funny, and well proportioned.
Some men (not the kind you want to know) are pretty dumb. They see a bright color, like blonde, and it catches their eye. These kind of guys (alternately called 'jerks') are only interested in women for their looks. The reason the "blonde joke" originated is because these women with bright colored hair can relate to these kind of men only if they act (or happen to actually be) dumb.
REAL men may initially see a nicely shaped body initially, but what really draws them to a woman is her personality, her sexiness (which is 90% in the mind), and her intelligence.
Ahem - so why is this question in the Chemistry category??

Red heads, particularly auburn, get my vote. To connect this to chemistry is a bit convoluted, but here it goes. The brain is pre-wired by a DNA molecule to seek and store certain important parameters, such as the appearance of a relative. At some point the pre-existing circuit was activated (or short circuited) and a permanent memory was encoded associated with positive attributes. Memories are made permanent by a unique combination of neuron connections and are believed to be read by a cascade of electrochemical reactions. At some later date, another person with a superficial attribute (hair colour) triggers the same associative memory and receives an unwarranted positive response.

I do not like redheads. But auburn is ok. Few men like red heads.

Reds are my favorite, then brunettes and then light brunettes, then brunettes with some blond streaks, then blonds. Golden blonds, specially fake ones, I really don't care much for them...
