i am 16 years old turning 17. one of my breasts is clearly larger than the other one. on the smaller breast, it has several very small brown (bumps or moles) i guess u could say on the nipple. The doctors checked me about 2 years ago for lumps but they found none. what should i do, i'm scared and i dont want to ask my mom to take me to the doctors because she will probably freak out considering her sister just got over breast cancer..

RUN as fast as you can to the doctor. I don't remember what channel, could have even been MTV, anyway, it was about woman who have had breast cancer or of families who lost someone to breast cancer. A young woman around your age died of different type of breast cancer. And she too was embarrassed to talk to her mom about her smaller breast, etc. GO!!!! I wish I could remember what that type of breast cancer is called. But don't play around!! It's not like you're going to be talking to your mom that you might think you have chlamydia or something that you could have prevented.......breast cancer is unpreventable, talk to your mom about this!!!

Those bumps are normal. They excrete a natural type of lubricant so that your nipples don't get too sore while you're breast feeding. And most women have one breast that's larger than the other. When you're younger, it's more obvious b/c they can grow at different rates.

Relax no one is perfectly symetrical if you wanna check without going to the doctor you lay down with one arm behind your head like you're doing sit ups and use three fingers with the other hand and circle around the breast and feel for lumps

Doesn't sound anything like cancer. I should think your mum would be quite happy that you are being careful as the disease is in your family.
