No, she can do it now. Many women get periods the first month they are pregnant. They usually aren't as heavy or last as long but there is a "period." Better to know as soon as you are pregnant? No? And...if it is a regular period and she is not pregnant, why waste a perfectly good pregnancy test.

She could take it now, no reason to wait. Bleeding can happen during pregnancy, sometimes if there's something wrong with the pregnancy, and sometimes during a normal pregnancy. She should see a health care provider regardless of the results though, to make sure she's okay!

have her take the test. If it comes out positive, she is probably pregnant and should see a doctor because of the bleeding. If it comes back negative...she should be alright.
If the symptoms persist, tell her to wait another week and retake another test.
And if all else fails...tell her to go see a doctor.

If she is starting her period chances are very slim that she IS pregnant. Not to say she wasn't.....a lot of late periods are miscarriages.
